OMG I loved that bit so much. I remember distinctly thinking "hm, you know, if Hawkeye hadn't gotten brainwashed these guys probably wouldn't be distracted by their bickering like this"
Which I think isn't a complete delusion on my part -- comics!Hawkeye, who I was exposed to first, is absolutely nothing like that so I don't think it was a bias showing through.
