I tend to prefer a mix of genders in fictional poly relationships. I'm not totally sure I know why. It's not that much of a sex appeal thing because I read very little threesome porn. And in real life, I don't feel like I'd need to be with people of different genders to be happy in a poly relationship.

But I guess since I'm attracted to both men and women, I do feel more interested when the relationship includes a mix. And I enjoy tropes like love triangles turning into threesomes, which lends itself well to canons where a woman is torn between two men or something like that.

So you want both penis and vagina in your threesomes. Or would you be equally interested if there were two men and one transwoman?

Yep! I would definitely ship threesomes that have trans people (male, female, or other) in them. And I've written some in my original fiction.

I don't think of it in terms of penises and vaginas at all.

Maybe the preference is just because you like seeing characters like yourself in fiction? I know that's part of why I like stories of that nature.
