My parents are super cool and I really adore them, but they have on occasion made some transphobic comments. Not like... hateful. They're pretty accepting of the concept, but their attitude is disrespectful sometimes. My dad (until I recently told him off for it) used to call transpeople "trannies", and they both still use the wrong pronouns when talking about transwomen/transmen (so, they'd refer to a mtf transwoman as "he", like "he's being a girl!").

But like, they've also said they'd be supportive if *I* were trans, for instance. So I dunno. I guess they just need to be more aware of how their words and tones can be hurtful, though I dunno if I'd call them transphobic for it.
