Well, they do say "I wish fandom would accept that attraction has nothing to do with shipping."

Not, doesn't have to have anything to do with shipping, not nothing to do with what I ship, just flat-out nothing to do with shipping. It's FACT, why can't fandom just accept it??? It definitely sounds like they're making a blanket statement about everyone to me.

Oh, I assumed they meant that in relation to themselves. If they meant for everyone then yeah, they're deluding themselves.

Well if we're going to get super-pedantic, right after that sentence OP says "Not everyone picks their ships based on whether or not they are attracted to the characters." Which probably means that OP is aware that attraction IS a factor for some people.
