Femmeslash isn't frowned upon anywhere I know of in fandom. It's ignored. There's a massive difference between disapproval and apathy. And it's ignored for reasons connected to basic dynamics of fandom and shipping, there's no real mystery here. People in fandom are apathetic about femmeslash because they want the pretty boys to fuck. No one is going to tell you NOT to write femmeslash. They just won't write it or read it themselves because it is not aligned with their interests.
