But just to be fair, in case of female pop starlets it IS mostly misogyny.
They get very harshly judged on looks and their sexual life a.k.a. their "sluttiness".

The only time male pop singers get such hate is when they've beaten up their girlfriend or raped someone. And even then they are easily forgiven because: "Isn't he dreamy? I don't believe he could ever do something like this".

Justin Bieber gets hate for being "a woman" or "a lesbian" or just plain "gay".
People try to degrade him with that because they hate his music or because he is a feminine looking young man.

But have you ever heard someone seriously accusing him of being a "slut"? When they do they just want to imply that he is a woman.

The hate directed at Justin Bieber is exactly as you describe it and gives no evidence at all of a more egalitarian society -- but it is not due to his having beat up his girlfriend or having raped someone.

But none of what you wrote about was in OP's secret. You are projecting and make a lot of assumptions.

Specifically regarding Lana Del Rey, she exhibits significant internalized misogyny in her music and videos. The same misogyny that you are railing against.
