He totally does. He's my absolute favorite in all CLAMP, but when I went looking for him, a lot of the stuff was Lantis/Hikaru with EVIL SCHEMING EAGLE trying to break them up and have Hikaru all for himself.

I knew there was a reason I felt wary of looking for OT3 fic. This makes me very sad. :C

Glad to see I'm not the only Eagle fan, though. Yay! If you happen to know of any good Eagle fics--OT3 or otherwise--do please share the links. ^^

I guess a lot may be that the anime apparently made Eagle more of an antagonist and pushed Lantis and Eagle both wanting Hikaru, rather than the manga's OT3 dynamic. I know the OVA went totally bonkers with him (Emeraude's brother?!), but I haven't seen the TV series. Manga all the way :P

I've found precious few; it seems like it's either crazy villain Eagle or woobie uke Eagle, with almost no in-between.

This short is pretty good, but emphasis on the short. I swear a friend of mine did a great drabble focusing on Eagle and Lantis, but I can't find it anywhere. Aaaand a while back I wrote this, which is probably not great and I wouldn't normally rec my own fic, but there's so little good stuff.

I should add that I haven't gone through everything in Ao3's Eagle tag, though. May be worth a look, but it seems like a lot of Rayearth fandom was focused on all the old free webhosts and lost fandom domains in the 90s.

In terms of the OT3, yes to the manga, but in terms of a better plot and better character development? I prefer the anime so much more.

Love them both, but anime had more. ESPECIALLY with regards to Ferio and Fuu. That romance was better fleshed out than "Hi!! I'm here to help!!....Bye until next time!!"

Yeah, I imagine they had a lot more time to flesh that stuff out. I really should get around to it one day, even if knowing how things end for Eagle in it makes me sad.

(At leas the manga is kind of optimistic for him ;-;)

Thank you for the recs! I will be sure to read the fics. It's a shame about all the MKR fandom sites that vanished after the 90s. Oh well...
