That's awful, anon. Though maybe 5th grade is a bit too young to be doing Tarot readings and potentially scaring kids who don't get it.

Then again, I was the kid who brought books out to recess, and when the teachers starting telling me not to do that and "interact with the other kids" (i.e. the kids I had nothing in common with and didn't want to hang out with at all because they were either obsessed with sports or mean Evangelicals) my mom got mad and found an alternative school for me to go to for middle and high school. I was actually encouraged to read there. I remember people bringing in Tarot cards one day, it was awesome. Also, we played poker at lunch and on school trips. It taught us math.
