There's no problem with fangirling as long as you aren't being creepy and invading his privacy. She/he created a twitter so people would read it. She/he was in videos so people would watch them. She/he had pictures taken so other people would see them. Watching videos, saving gifs, checking twitter...it might be a bit obsessive, but as long as you're not tweeting him/her every five minutes or trying to get private pictures, you're just being a fan.

+1. A lot of fans have been there.

lol, you're me too, anon.

I'm confused by this secret. Is the picture just a random one? I mean, I know it's Dr Who but the secret's not about him, right? The secret's about a random celebrity OP chose not to include/name in the secret?

The secret is probably about David Tennant, I'm guessing.

"(not over Tennant by the way, even if he's definitely fly for Time-Lord guy)"

Does Tennant even have a twitter, by the way?

LOL OOP.

I didn't read the whole secret because it was pretty hard to read on my computer.

And no, he doesn't have a twitter.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-06 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, I couldn't really read it either, and I was like "Tennant has a twitter?! linklinklinklink!" But I was also confused at "girlfriends" and was all "wait, when was the divorce and how did I not hear about it?"

(Anonymous) 2012-11-06 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah sometimes the massive number of gifs on tumblr start to creep me out. It's feeds obsessive behavior, like some kind of endless stimulus with nothing but that person. I don't have anything against fangirling fictional characters but for some reason I feel like I'm crossing some line when I save too many pics of any one actor.

Story of my life, jesus christ. ;___; all my shame, right there with you, bro.

Ha, this is eerily apropos, because I've been trying really hard not to be That Fangirl over Tennant. I am still a tiiiiny bit freaked out by how ferociously attracted I am to him, because fucking hell I usually have to make a bit of an effort to find guys hot and I'm used to being able to turn it off before it gets distracting, but okay, fine, David Tennant is a walking sexual-orientation singularity, I can accept that. It's just not fair that he's also a giant nerd and a lovely human being and a fine Shakespearean actor. And I keep telling myself I have better things to do with my time than track down every crappy movie he has ever been in. Like plow through my backlog of classic Who serials. But the urge remains.

I only ever get this way over fictional characters like Ten, but never ever their actors, so while I think I have an inkling of what you mean, I've never experienced it.

BTW, your icon is fabulous :)

Thanks!

And yeah, I fall hard for characters and usually never make it beyond affectionate appreciation for the actors. And then my friends went and showered me with some of the non-crappy stuff Tennant's been in--Hamlet, Einsten and Eddington, Blackpool--and YouTube is full of him being hilarious on late-night talk shows and goddammit I've got a big stupid crush now.

I actually haven't seen him in anything other than Doctor Who (I blocked most of the travesty that was the 4th Harry Potter film from my mind, thankfully), but I have heard of all kinds of stuff about him being really funny and nerdy which is always a nice thing to hear. A lovable actor just adds a bonus layer of awesome to a good character ;)

Yeah, he's pretty fuckin' adorable. :)

Reuses a lot of his mannerisms across roles, though, which leads to hilarity in stuff like Fright Night. AKA "uh-oh, somebody found the 'foul-mouthed bisexual painted manwhore' setting on the Chameleon Arch."

Fright Night was wayyy funnier than I was expecting

:( I like the 4th Harry Potter film...

Haphazardly dangling plot threads, utterly horrific pacing, doesn't spend any time on resolution or decompression or unpacking of any important scenes, but spends 20 minutes on a trying-to-be-super-suspenseful-and-impressive yet utterly pointless, inane, plot-irrelevant chase between Harry and the Hungarian Horntail that, in the book, took around half a page and surprised Harry with how easy and un-scary it was.

I'm...kinda racking my brains to think of a single thing I liked about the film, tbh. Especially as I completely adore the book.
