Speaking as someone who would love to visit Japan to actually take in the culture/history/art, etc, but doesn't have the money for it right now, you suck. No, really. Next time you want to visit a country because 'omg such and such fandom was made/filmed here', just send your money to me and I'll go instead.

I did go in order to take in the culture/history/art, and that's what I spent 99% of the trip doing. For whatever odd reason, I just didn't fall in love with Japan, even though I thought I would. (I mean, I love history and art and architecture, why should I not love Japan? but I didn't).

In addition to all that, I couldn't even get my fangasm on, because my favorite series is just not popular for merchandise.

It was a very nice trip, I did enjoy it, but sometimes you like some countries better than others :(
