Anyone else ever have a moment like this?

All the time, I don't recognize actors when they play in different stuff...

(Seriously the amount if time it took me to realize David Tennant played in Harry Potter is embarrassing)

Funny you should mention Doctor Who, because it took me a similarly embarrassingly long time to realize River Song was Dr. Corday from ER. And I was a regular watcher of ER too.

For me it was watching the credits on the Doctor's Wife and noticing that the planet alien thing was voiced by Michael Sheen.

I had to rewatch the whole episode again. (They disguised his voice which is why I didn't recognize it the first time around.)

I still can't hear his voice in that no matter how hard I strain to. they disguised it too well, IMHO.

Took me for-freaking-ever to figure out Simon Pegg was The Editor in The Long Game.

I'm personally quite embarrassed about it.

This. It took me forever to wonder why his voice was so familiar. It took three watchings and my mom pointing out, "Hey, it's that guy from those movies you like!"

Yes! Just a couple of weeks ago, I was watching Cowboys and Aliens on TV and was very amused by Sam Rockwell's character... except I had no idea I was watching Sam Rockwell until I saw his name in the closing credits.

Mostly with actors I find attractive that I probably shouldn't find attractive. Like, every time I'm watching something with Joey Pantoliono I'm like, "Dang, who's that cute guy?!?" Then he talks and I recognize his voice and I'm like, "Damn it, stop being cute, Joey Pants."

I'm really good with remembering faces, but a few people do throw me occasionally.
