i've started on my fic and i'm over 2k words in but i still can't figure out what to name it. :[

Seriously though the title isn't the most important part right now, and the name will come to you at one point, it is no use stressing about it.

You know what, I hate spellcheck! I swear I meant to write unnamed... Though unarmed do add a certain flair to a title, sometimes I wish I had some kind if writing talent so I could write random stories about all the things I manage to spell wrong late at night here on F!S.

(One day I will reread what I write twice.)

I feel your pain. That happens to me with nearly everything I write, naming a fic, naming chapters if I decide to. The frustrating story of my life.

yeah, the story titles never come easy for me. i feel like they should reflect something about the story but that's really hard to nail for me lol

I'm bad at names too. I usually end up getting them from lame song lyrics. XD

Also I'm only like, 700 words into Nano. Yeah I'm screwed. Haha

also, i decided to go with a fanfic instead of the other idea i was considering, namely because i don't think i could write even 20k for the latter. hope everybody likes portal fanfic...

It'll come to you in time. Haha I usually think of a bunch of titles and then have no stories to go with them.

I title it the date I began while I'm working on it, and then when I feel like I need a title, I close my eyes and point to three random words (exluding the, a, an and names.) I can usually do something with those, because I just use them for inspiration mainly. :)

Example: Story about a man whose heart is failing so he jumps on a plane and travels--> The Sky Is Tomorrow

Don't sweat it :) I once came up with a title on November 30th, and I'm still using a working title for this year's one.

See if you can find some kind of recurring theme throughout your story, and think up a title that reflects that, maybe?
