I didn't go to Japan because of anime. I went because I really like history, art, and architecture. I should have really liked Japan.
But you know, sometimes you travel places and it's amazing, and sometimes you just don't go crazy over it. I thought I would really enjoy Japan, but in my head now it doesn't really stand out. There's no logical reason for it.
Maybe it's because my trip was relatively short, so I couldn't properly absorb what I was seeing.
It's funny - I actually expected there to be *less* anime than what I saw.

But because I like anime, I thought at least I can enjoy being fandomy, right? But I couldn't, because I just like obscure stuff. So I say, Japan was okay. It's not the most enjoyable trip I've had. It's not objective, it's just how I feel.

But if I say this to my friends, they will be like "what, Japan is so amazing, how can you not say you loved Japan?! It has so much history and culture!!!"
