Best of all, my friendship with my friends is secure enough, WWIII is not going to happen if one of us unfollows the other. It's entirely possible to be friends and NOT have mutual interests you know.
Friends can communicate this, nod, acknowledge differences and MOVE ON without giving a SHIT about tags.

Well in my case, I never had an account for LJ and I don't have one for here. I tend to be on a different computer each time I check out FS and it'd be a real pain to have to log on each time - considering I don't know if I'll be commenting or not.

Lots of other people on f!s also have pony icons. Otaku is the only one I can think of off the top of my head who uses them almost exclusively, but I don't come around here as often as I used to, so there are likely others.

I find that when I talk to people logged in, sometimes I get along with them really well and then later I can disagree with that same person quite vehemently, or vice-versa. It just kind of varies from time to time. I try not to hold grudges, though occasionally I will meet someone who pisses me off enough for me to try to avoid them...
