This isn't an argument I feel like having, especially with a condescending asshole. I'm not always up-to-date on the latest PC lingo, so you'll have to forgive me. (Or not.)

I don't agree that I was "conflating" them, mentioning two things at the same time and that they are bad =/= saying they are the same or the same degree of badness, we are not going to agree here so let's quit arguing k?

Spoilers don't fucking damage you. Are they annoying? Sure. But calling it "damage" and mentioning it right alongside "trigger" is just plain shitty. And if you can't see why that is, then I don't know what to say except "shut your fucking hole."

I mean this is obvious shit though, so I don't see why it's such a big deal like do you think people are going to look at that and go "omg wow obviously spoilers are REALLY BAD and triggers are REALLY NOT THAT BAD???" I mean I kind of thought everyone here knows that that isn't true. One is not like the other. I shouldn't have to micro-engineer my sentences just to make absolutely sure I'm not going to get dogpiled by a couple anons with a huge pointy stick up their asses.

No, I really wouldn't be. Either you don't know or you don't care, either way you're disgusting. And I have no idea what anon you're talking about, so probably not.

I accidentally replied to the wrong comment, and you got me before I could edit it. (You are indeed the language-policing anon, btw.) Here is what I meant to say:

Honestly, sometimes it is impossible to know what it is and isn't okay to say that won't cause someone (who probably already has a hateboner for me, lbr) to fly off the handle at me and call me all kinds of horrible things because my wording is wrong. So I kind of gave up on always stressing out about getting the wording right. If there's a problem, I can explain myself, which I have. If there's still a problem, I don't know what else to say, just be mad, I guess.

I do not think saying two bad things are both bad is trivializing one of them. I like to think most people over the age of ten understand that "good" and "bad" are not all the same and there are degrees of goodness or badness that can vary wildly.

I'll go ahead and risk an analogy, to prove my point. (Disclaimer: NOT COMPARING ANYTHING DIRECTLY TO TRIGGERING. YOU HAVE BEEN DISCLAIMED. This is to illustrate degrees of goodness/badness and communication.) If I say that it's dangerous to go into the woods alone, and it would be awful if you got stung by a bee or broke your leg, I am not saying that getting stung by a bee = breaking your leg or that they are the same degrees of badness. I am just saying that they're both bad. I take the liberty of assuming that any dumbass on the street can tell the two apart, know which one is decidedly worse and I won't have to make those clarifications for them.
