of course anyone can complain about this, just as there's anyone free to complain about people complaining about people complaining and so on and so forth.
Tagging is not important, and nothing to do with courtesy. Warning is. Whether it's through a warning in your header, or a lead in mentioning it before a cut, that's what guarantees someone avoiding a harmful post. Because seriously, this tagging nonsense is only relevant if you use tumblr savior or some other extension entirely dependent on your browser. Even then, with warnings and tags, they are not owed. Awesome if they're there, and definitely polite and thoughtful, but no one is entitled to them.
Not following people who don't tag is obvious. Assuming you followed them, you would know by simply glancing through their blog beforehand how little or often they do so. A surprisingly untagged post with spoilers, or omg a fandom you don't like (which is exactly what the secret is about)? Scroll on. Don't pretend you're priority is watching out for folk who have triggers. (general "you")
Also... Have you, or otakugal, reported this thread yet? I'm wondering why it hasn't been frozen yet.

I do appreciate your point about the original post being about fandom distaste. I'm not really sure why people got so upset that I pointed out there are other reasons it's important to tag, but...ok. Don't really want to have a big fight about it.
(Honestly, at this point I'll probably be called a lot of horrible names because I didn't kowtow to the popular PC opinion but honestly? I try to do my very best to be respectful, non-judgmental, and fair. I'm willing to accept that some people will hate me for accidentally saying something that stepped on toes.)
What exactly is the point of reporting the thread? I'm not personally hugely bothered or offended by it

Apologies if I come across as aggressive, condescending, or combative. That's not my intent.
I ask about the reporting because there's a lot of personal attacks in these threads. Which, you know, is against the rules. I'm not challenging your thick skin status :b

(Being new to Tumblr isn't really anything to be ashamed about, is it? Maybe I stuck my foot in my mouth on the whole triggering thing but Tumblr? 0_0 This is kind of why I get defensive, I mean if someone is going to shame me for misunderstanding the way a blog site works...)

Like spoilers haha oh god :(
