Ahaha~ I just tend to think they're a bad writer but now that you mention it...

I also find some fandoms tend to be better at genderswap than others. Like Star Trek Reboot fandom was pretty good at them. Avengers on the other hand you have to go through quite a few stinkers to get to a good one.
