Ugh. Someone just ranted at me for posting about election watch nerves. Apparently not being American means I should just mind my own fucking business?

it might be a domestic election but it certainly matters globally, though the same can be said for every nation's elections. i wouldn't listen to that person, i know there's a lot of folks who would agree with them but they aren't taking into account how election results reverberate beyond country borders. might be so because we don't generally feel it here in the states regarding other nations' elections, but we're rather isolationist in most areas, so people can be kind of ignorant. but you have every right to care, and i'm glad you do.

Ugh tell them to STFU. America is the current world power, so there's always going to be a ripple effect on the rest of the world. Also it doesn't take much logic to know putting an idiot in charge of the largest stash of nukes in the world can end extremely badly.

Obviously Obama won by now, but no matter who would have won the War thing really wouldn't have changed.
