You haven't run into it? You must not be on Tumblr, then. Consider yourself fortunate.

Then there were all those squeals of glee from the Stony shippers when the news broke that Whedon was directing Avengers 2. They just couldn't shut up about how much they wanted Whedon to kill off Pepper. It only got worse when the Iron Man 3 trailer was released with that clip of Pepper looking like she was strapped into some sort of steel torture device and screaming in pain. The haters are hating with extreme prejudice.

I don't go on tumblr for fandom. I go on it for funny pictures and gifs. Tumblr fandom frightens the shit out of me.

...So not only are they haters they're also incredibly stupid? Pepper has best friend/girlfriend immunity. Marvel immunity. If Coulson can't die she definitely can't.

But you know what? The thing I think is funniest is that the very people they ship, Steve and Tony, would not only be so disappointed in them for their hatred but they would also probably not like them. At all. They might even be threatened, in Tony's case.
