Nope, actually it was more awkward because my mother is really good at getting the pronunciation right for foreign languages, and while I'm passable [I.E. I'm understandable, but I def. have an accent], I'm not as good and that can get a little...wearing sometimes since she feels the need to constantly correct that. I mean, I appreciate corrections - but at the same time I'd like to actually get to the point of having conversations before I start worrying too much about completely getting rid of my accent.
