I'm kinda the same. I'm black so I've got the minority thing working against me sometimes. Which is why, on top of the fact that it's just plain stupid not to use your God-given resources in life, I see no problem using the fact that I'm an attractive woman to help me get what and where I want.

Mind you, I'm not talking about gold-digging or anything of that nature. But if being perceived as attractive by an interviewer (on top of my qualifications) helps me to get a job I seriously need, I'm not gonna get all "YOU ONLY WANNA HIRE ME CUZ YOU WANNA FUCK ME!" As long as I'm not sexually harassed and they understand that I am competent and capable, I really couldn't care less why they hired me.

Personally, I don't mind someone enjoying the privileges of being attractive-- it's not fair, but life usually isn't...

...but I am mad as hell and resentful when less qualified pretty people (or men) get a position and I don't just because I'm not a Barbie Doll (or don't have a penis).

And your experience is more usual than the "bonus on top of qualifications" scenario, sad to say. You probably already knew that, though.
