One of the perks of being privileged is being able to use your privileges to help those who don't have them. You can take a stand in your industry or speak out against bias in order to get more people opportunities they might not be able to get as easily today.

Using your privileges in itself isn't bad; it's using them to purposefully hold others back that's bad.

And at the same time, pretty people are under no obligation to fight for less pretty people. Acknowledging privilege is good, but seriously, not everyone needs to be a crusader.

However if they stand by and do nothing while people are belittled and or bullied for their appearance then that is a problem. Not everyone needs to be a crusader, they just need to be a decent person.
