Seeing your RD icon, this is such a huge problem with 9 out of 10 Bronies and it pisses me off.
They seriously think people of certain races shouldn't even think of cosplaying any pony other than Zecora.

And the white cosplayers also have to endure endless rants about how their skin tone doesn't really match the character, whatEVER that means.

Bronies must be THE fandom to be incredibly racist about characters whose only races are pegasus, earth pony and unicorn and who come in all colors of the fucking rainbow to boot.

Er, I agree? O_o

Bronies can be teh most racist shits I have ever come across.

DON'T EVER draw humanized ponies, because if you draw say...Rarity as a savvy, posh, black business woman (that's how i see her), or Twilight as a nerdy black girl, Fluttershy as a kind, animal friendly Iranian (muslim fluttershy was a thing for a while, though i saw a really good explanation on why it was problematic cause it was kind of...oh look! isn't she cute? tee hee!!), Pinkie as anything other than skinny and white, etc.....you'll get "but why is Twilight a *****?" "Rarity's British!! Clearly she's white!!" (cause there are no british black people, amirite?) "Fluttershy is too moe and my waifu!! she'd NEVER be an Arab!!" "Pinkie is too hyper to be anything other than a size zero!!"

B/

Ugh, I had a few of those sent my way when I did a few humanizations and it just killed any enjoyment I had at designing anything else.

ayrt

I didn't mean to direct my anger at you, btw. I just saw your icon and it immediatly reminded me of the racism in that fandom.

I think my favorite thing is "forced diversity".
It has somehow become a thing to cry "forced diversity" whenever the humanized ponies are not all skinny and white.
One time I drew a black Applejack just to test the assholes on Derpibooru and the most fucked up comment was something about "reverse racism", meaning it was somehow bad to portray any other race than white people as cowboys/cowgirls because it would change the heritage of black people to central Europe instead of Africa lolwhut

Lmao, what? Except cowboys/cowgirls weren't exclusively of white Eurpean descent, so wtf. And even if they were historically all white, it's FICTION. Putting people of other ethnicities in a cowboy hat and boots doesn't mean you're turning them white. I really do not get some people's logic, lol.

I love that assumption that cowboys and cowgirls are all "white." Our history books would like to have a word with you, Bronies and mainstream media. Most "cowboys" were herders, ranchers on the plains and out west that were either black, hispanic, native american, or a mix of them all. Not to say that white people WEREN'T cowboys and shit, but a good chunk of them actually weren't.
