Actually looking at the differences between then and now, my face shape has changed (it used to be much more round) which I think is what's made the difference to me.

I think if you had that red hair and the cut in the earlier photo you would look the same. Nothing wrong with the way you look in either photo IMO you look fine, but I definitely wouldn't call either homely, or especially hot. Just a perfectly attractive young woman.

Neither of these photos are exactly idea (this one I have my mouth stuffed with food, and this one, I have a giant grin on), though I feel like both show that I have a slightly different face. Maybe I'm crazy though. Hm...

Why, you aren't conventionally unattractive at all going by these photos. Especially in the smiling one; your hair is absolutely pretty when long. I can also see what you mean about your face changing slightly. I'm guessing it was due to weight loss because your face looks more defined.

It could just be my personal tastes, but I think you could definitely look like one of the conventional beautifuls (not to say you should) given the right figure/face-flattering clothes + makeup. Honestly, it all wages on being born with a not-completely-hideous facial structure (besides having the x figure which is attainable unlike the aforesaid) and I think most pass that criteria.
