Unicorns.

Yeah. I guess it's just a personal/cultural thing. I live in San Francisco so here it's not "EWW GAY", it's "NOOO BADTOUCH IS BAD."

My hair!

Galinda may or may not be me every now and then. And by every now and then I mean every time I look in a mirror.

I'm glad that the secret was meaningful for you, and I really hope that your little brother is feeling better. <3

I thought this was well known?

I mean, the doctor jokes alone...

Re: FASHION THREAD!

I've watched it.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-10 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
I wholly agree. I also find the whole male/male sexual predation aspect kind of, um, embarrassingly hot, but if the ONLY queer representation in your movie is of a creepy villain whose inappropriate sexual advances are used to make him creepier, then you have a real problem. Especially since that's a trend in creative cultural output at large.

Javier Bardem's character was also stereotypically flamboyant and had severe mommy issues. Check check on the checklist.

Maybe they should evacuate it.

I'll see what I can do. Making secrets about my genitals honestly takes up a lot of my time, but I'm sure I can fit a few Loki secrets in the mix.

The secrets today are not very inspiring.

I like me and really wouldn't change anything. I'm not perfect but I like what I've got.

But my favorite? My jaw and lips. I think I have a very nice jawline and my lips are nice. I got teased for my lips as a kid but I really like them.

Pretty sure your ex posted it on Plenty of Fish. Sorry, bb.

Re: Socio-economic Class

[personal profile] khronos_keeper 2012-11-10 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
Mine fluctuates. Or I belong to several?

For the majority of life, I would call myself part of the working poor. Definitely under the poverty level.

For the past year or so, I've gained provisional lower middle class status as a teacher. Now I'm a grad student, and my educational level put me in a middle-class bracket, with none of the associated income.

I think the last time I've been so amused by any secret was way before the move from LJ...good job, OP! ♥

Check out post-time skip Franky from One Piece. It could be worse.

(Or maybe it is. This guy looks more normal than Franky, but hey, maybe his lower half is tentacles or a mermaid tail. Though if his lower half is tentacles, OP lacks imagination)

... Bardem, please. Stop.

I spent all of the trailer sinking down further into my seat and internally screaming "Why, why did you do that?" so I'm not sure how I'm going to be during the actual film. It's one of those things that I would hope looked better in motion, except it just... doesn't.

Re: CLAMP Thread, Part VII

(Anonymous) 2012-11-10 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
I meant CCS - though, tbh, most of the versions I've seen do. [In fairness, I've really only seen the Tsubasa, and CCS ones. So I can't really speak for any of the other's.]

True, but that happened prior to the story so you didn't really see him do much to the end, which made him come off as passieve or maybe 'like he wasn't really trying' for most of the series, at least that's how it read to me.

Re: How long do you date

(Anonymous) 2012-11-10 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Eh, I've had guys beg me to "give them a chance" and date them, even though I'm pretty open about not being all that into them.

So I give them a couple of weeks, usually, to a couple of months at the most if they turn out to be somewhat entertaining (one only lasted a single date because he was horrible in bed). Then when I'm still not that into them, I break up with them.

I don't know why they get so upset. I told them I wasn't that into them right from the start, but they insisted on going out anyway.

Well the way I interpreted OP's phrasing was that Bond's indifference is hot to her, so...I wouldn't have connected being raped to that. I sure hope that's not what the movie was trying to convey...

Re: The Sims

(Anonymous) 2012-11-10 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
tbh idc much about online interaction: I've played the Sims before (at a friend's place) and realized the characters you get to create, the situations and interactions are somehow inspirational for plots for fics so I'd mainly use it to see how some things would develop or set in action things I've written and just watching them happen.
it might be a stupid reason, I know, but it has actually been helpful.
this is why it's important for me that, if even my laptop decides to kill itself, I can re-download the game (or re-install it) and find a way to start the game again from where I left it

actually, online is cheaper. checked the price online, then went to the store and saw the difference and thought "oh..."

I dress like a teacher or a lawyer depending on which day it is (and how long it's been since I did laundry.)

Basically lots of dresses, skirts and suit trousers, all of it in either brown/black/grey or plaid, I might wear some more color on my dresses. I also usually wear button down shirts or at times fandomy tshirts, but then I usually have a waist coat and/or a suit jacket over it.

I would dress the same if I could afford it, it would just buy more expensive stuff...

(Fun fact: I don't own one pair of jeans, nor do I wear exercise clothes except when I'm actually in the gym or sick.)

That was such a punch in the gut. I also liked that scene because it did a lot of character development in that one gesture...I can imagine having half your inside cheek burned away will fuck you up a bit and he seemed genuinely upset/distressed so not just a crazy villain anymore. Also M said she hardly remembered him not long before, that had to hurt.

I said I loved that scene and someone on another forum said "yeah but it was shit, cyanide doesn't work that way" - I don't know if they were right but so what? He just threw up a little isn't as dramatic and it's a BOND film ffs.

but iirc that was referring to the fact that Bond had had other men coming onto him

Oh, this makes sense. Too much sense honestly, because I was all for Bond being bi. I'll just wait and see, I guess.

In the special features they discuss how he had a secret stash that he was smoking. Smoking that is apparently what made him not a dumbass.
