At least Craig plays the first Bond who isn't a sexist slimeball (hardcore Bond fans, come at me).

Well, I haven't seen Quantum of Solace or Skyfall, yet...

But...unless he's improved since Casino Royale, I can't really agree with this... I mean, I guess he's less terrible with Vesper at the end, but with the anonymous woman earlier, his earliest interactions with Vesper, and even some of his interactions with M...nah, he's still a sexist slimeball, it's just they acknowledge that (as well as his inherent sociopathy) in universe, which makes the movies themselves a bit less creepily sexist.

You are right OP. I've seen Skyfall, and seen most Bond films. It's part of the character. I really have no idea how that could ever change and still be James Bond. I think the best that could happen is as you say, more of an acknowledgment of it inverse. Which in fact is done in Skyfall as well, by both M and by another character whose name is a spoiler for the film, but she's great.
