4. Ugh, I know what you mean. (Mengel/Mary-Sue flashbacks much?) It's one thing to make jokes on WW2 and Hitler in all good fun, but there's touchy lines of history and hate to cross, and Jew/Nazi is... NO.
5. I listen to so much dang music and soundtracks that almost all songs relate to one of my fandoms in an instant. XDDD;;;;

Ugh, dear lord. I know the feeling--I had the same paranoia with Shadow in Sonic fandom. @.@;;; But your love for the character and RPing him is what's most important--who cares if the elitists hate you? If you continue RPing and having fun doing it, it's you who rocks. Your dedication to a character fandom is torn between shows you won't back down and aren't afraid to show a side of Sasuke no one has seen. In other words? YOU ROCK!

15. I agree with you completely. Allen is the character I love the most in Xenosaga. His voice actor is also the best one in the game, so much emotion in the voice and portrayed him so nicely. And just like you, even though I totally think Shion doesn't deserve Allen, I do love Allen x non-bitchy!Shion.
Maybe it's because he loves her so much that I just want him to be happy =P
or the fact that Allen is so lovable, it's contagious and makes even Shion seem ok when they are together...lol iono >_>
My other favorite Allen pairing is with Assistant Scott =P
They both are tortured by bossy Shion and Professor. ^.^ Both needs lots of love.

He's quite dorkable and the biggest wuss I have ever laid eyes on- but that's what makes him realistic. And, aw, he's just worrying over Shion (okay, and maybe his own ass sometimes!) half the time.
The man tries SO hard to not...well, fail, that I just feel bad for him! We all fail [at times] trying to tell people we like them, but he really sticks with it instead of giving up.

Oh god, I thought I was the only one pairing him up with Assistant Scott. XDD! I never saw the anime, but I heard they got drunk together? That's amazing. XD

15. Yeah, I don't agree. I buy games to play them, even RPGs. I'm a huge believer that cutscenes should be few and far between, like in the old games. We could have easily played most of the scenes that instead we watched for like 15 minutes. And I know some people have said that it's like watching a movie but if I wanted to watch Xenogears, I'd just download the anime or a recording of someone else playing the game.

3. I thought he was great. I loved that book, which surprised me because the year before we had to read Great Expectations and that made me want to claw my eyes out. Which is sad, I can enjoy almost anything when it comes to novels.

I wouldn't say that I loved him, but I sincerely support him being the first character you loved. <3

4. Wait... People do that?

Everyone has their own issues with certain things. Obviously that's a more serious issue than 'this character and this character are gross together. Stop it.' If they actually like each other despite that difference, maybe it's something you can grow to accept one day. But I don't think too many people would blame you if you didn't.

6. IAWTS. So much. I've always played and related to the weaker side characters that no one wanted. I always got that character to myself, because no one else cared. So, playing more popular and well known characters makes me uncomfortable. There's more pressure to make everyone happy, and I feel like if I'm going to be keeping said character from others that would want to play him - I better be doing a damn good job.

9. I've done that! with mods and with people that are just that good. I always feel insecure when I'm like "this characer looks cool, I want a chance to play with them." and find out, Oh shit. That's the boy/girl that runs the game.

10. I completely support this secret, and hope things go well for you. I know that I rush to my f-list when my friends post. Whether it's entries or fic, or whatever. And of course everyone has their own unique priorities - but maybe you should try talking more about whatever you want to talk about. If you post a fic, bring it up to your friend and see if they want to discuss things. Ask them where you need improvement, if you're worried asking them what their favorite part is might seem too much like stroking your own ego.
I don't know, I love seeing my friend's writing, fic or otherwise. I wish they'd post more in general, so I feel for you so much. I'm sorry you feel underappreciated.

13. I mean this in the nicest way possible: but I'm seconding your 'this is really sad.' line. It's good that you enjoy them, but.... That's a touch extreme.

Exactly! I was so excited to have that character and see their playing, but I figured everyone was all excited to play with them and I was just another little fangirls. I got super happy from just doing one thread with them and I hope I get to do more and not chicken out.

15. Xenosaga's cutscenes are a hit or miss with people. You either love them or hate them. I personally enjoy them, but I also understand some people thinking they were too long. Hello, 45 minutes of scenes between the rescuing of MOMO and Ziggy before playing again.

Oh god, I cannot stand Episode II's battle system. ._. Combination attacks weren't worth using, and the only way to win was to break the enemy and knock them down/up. It was a challenge to figure out the break zone and stuff, but other than that, it just gets super repetitive, and the computer was cheap in the way it didn't have to follow the same rules you did. I'm in the minority when I say I like Episode III's battle system the best. (Most people like Episode I) Yes, it's more "traditional," but it was the one with the most varied gameplay, meaning I actually didn't just spam the same moves over and over again like I did in the first two games.

I'm surprised people are shocked about this one, but then again, I've been lurking out in the South Park fandom for a few years now and the amount of Cartman/Kyle slash is a bit overwhelming. It's not the same thing (though in essence it kinda is), but I hate it too. It just seems a bit degrading and insensitive.

15. You have made me so incredibly happy by posting a Xenosaga secret. ;-; Especially what you said about Xenosaga II. That segment gets way too much fandom hate, and the battle system was challenging, which is why I love it.

AND YEY, ALLEN LOVE. Some of the things he said just made me shake my head, but I love him, and while I hate Kevin, Allen!torture IS fun. XD But maybe that's because it's all they've been doing to him for three episodes? You're not the only one that ships Allen/not!BITCH!Shion, though! I hate Shion, but that pairing just makes me flail like crazy. ;~;

I'm quite pleased to see the secret is generating so many positive responses. I was honestly expecting a slew of immense HATE at either the cutscenes or episode II.
I love the challenge in episode II's battle system so much...I even miss it! Episode III's battle system is so watered down, but it has a few nice additions.

4. I don't blame you at all for your aversion to this (hell, I had no idea until this secret came in that this kind of thing even existed. Call me sheltered ^^;), I don't blame any Jewish person (or anyone at all, really) for not wanting to touch it with a thirty nine and a half foot pole. But I do feel the need to play devil's advocate for this. In three pages of comments, not one person has, so the task falls to me.

Nazi/Jew I could see being done, if it was done carefully. I'm not saying people would have to like it, I'm not saying it would be done just for the "edginess" factor which I saw mentioned earlier. Be it het or slash, I really could see it being done. I'm not going to go into specifics since I'm no historian, I just boast a general knowledge of what happened during that time period, so bear with me.

The long and short of it is this: Not every member of the Nazi party was a willing participant. Sure, there were the hardcore Heil Hitler types that characterize the Germans of the day, but then there were those who were Nazis in name only. Perhaps to save themselves from a fate worse than death. Perhaps they didn't want to be a voice of dissent in a time when that meant subjecting yourself to the whims of madmen with little hope of survival. People do what they must in order to stay alive. Sometimes it means doing some pretty unsavory things (such as cannibalism a la the Donner party), sometimes it means subscribing to ideals that you have no interest in having a part of.

Yes, I get that you're probably talking about Nazi/Jew where the Nazi is a hardcore Hitler lover. But I just wanted to point out that there can be exceptions to everything.

I don't know, I guess to me it's like Nazi/Jew is like American/person of Japanese descent in that same era. Yes, I know that there are differences, and they're vast, but the idea is sort of the same. Captor/captive. Oppressor/oppressed.

Doesn't make it right. Doesn't make it any less weird for those personally affected. But something to think about.

*Applause* Good for you for being decisive enough to admit to yourself that you want to do something and then do it!

I think people here are being too hard on your for this. College doesn't make, break, or define a life. It's something that some people do, and others don't. A lot of people think they HAVE to go because society approves of it, and I find that sad. I tried college, found it it wasn't for me, and I'm just going to quit after next semester and move on with my life. I think people should try as many things as possible, but be able to move on when something isn't working. I admire that in a person.

Kudos to you, and remember to do what makes you happy in life. I wish you the very best.

5. That's awesome. *Laughs* We R/T shippers tend to find references in small stuff, so it's amusing yours actually fit quite well!

And just today, I was thnking about a R/T fic and, upon looking at an envelope for a letter I was about to send (I was at work), I saw "Dora Lane."

You are made of absofuckin win! I can understand why some people may hate the long cutscenes, but I just can't help it, the plot and characters pwns me so hard that I can see no wrong with them. This is one of the few games where I love every single character for going beyond their archetypes, heck I like even Shion who I think is the most hated (...WHUT, I find her fascinating with all her flaws and eccentricities).

And, of course, there's Allen who is just... adksjfdsijd!!1 I loved that "power of love" line though ~~OH NOES~~, I'm sorry, but the dorkiness just killed me (in a good way) ~~I looooove dorks~~. XD

YES! That's how I feel. :3 I may like long cutscenes, but had this been any other game...I'm not sure how I'd feel. They just seem so right and I loved them all. I also love all the characters thus far...I can't really hate anyone! D: But I only just started episode III...and I have just been warned by nearly every fan that Shion turns into this super evil bitch from hell. Which is a shame because I really have enjoyed her the past two games...and even enjoy her thus far as of chapter 5 in episode III. D:

The "power of love" line made me groan in embarrassment, but I was laughing! Even though I threatened his life (it's just me, I love teasing him)- it's what I like about him. I have a STRONG attraction to dorky guys and Allen is the most realistic dorkbag I have ever met.
If I ever shoved him out of an airlock for it, just know I would have thrown myself out there with him. XDD!
