15) XENOSAGA FUCKS YES. I loved the cutscenes too and I actually think the same thing. XD One reason why I love the series is because of the cutscenes since you get to watch them, it's just like watching an anime series or something. XD Except you get to play too and the playing itself is even awesome.

XSII rocked too. Once you LEARN the battle system it gets so much more enjoyable. (I can kill the effing pope before he calls Proto Omega now fawk yessss) and of course I have crazy URTV bias so II I always loved ANYWAY. XD

I love Allen. ;.; He's such a dork. I love the freaking series I LOVE YOUR SECRET cause it just caused me to glee. XD

I'm curious as to what RP you're in tho, now. :O!

THEY REALLY DO and just give the game so much more insight. Especially since in III's case they had to wrap it up as best they could, but it was amazing. *_* And there are times where I still get my attentions diverted and wind up watching a bunch on youtube. :D

The long cutscenes is what made Xenosaga different from other games. Same here, I felt like I was watching a movie and playing an awesome game X3

I guess I can understand it from the point of view of wanting to play but... since it's an RPG the point is the story and I actually never thought XS's cutscenes were too long at all as it was. XD

My thoughts exactly. I do think Xenosaga's cut scenes are long but not unnecessarily since all the scenes are towards the story and aren't filler. XD I think there were times when I would pause the game before a cut scene so I could munch on something while watching my "movie".

I remember the first time around I felt it was draggy up until about when Ziggy and MOMO meet up with the Elsa, but upon a replay it was much better since you actually know the characters better. XD BUT YES snacks during gaming is A++.

This is precisely it! The cutscenes truly made it live up to its name. I have always loved cutscenes, but after seeing them in Xenosaga I hope no other game attempts that. It's a unique concept I want Xenosaga known for, even if it DOES generate some negativity from naysayers.

They are just perfectly suited for this game alone.

I managed to beat popy and the damn castle at like, ten levels under what I probably should have been. I fought the castle for over two hours. I know the secret to keeping a mixed gender party and it's so much damn fun!

Allen is not only a dork, but he is love and I wanna find somewhere serious to play him. It's awesome.

AHA yes! I kept forgetting which was which for the cathedral so it kept changing and I kept attacking and then going "AUGH STOP MURDINATING ME"

Yes omg! *_* He seems like so much fun to play but I'd never be able to do him justice. XD I worry enough about playing Jr., though I did almost try to play Tony somewhere once too cause he seems hilariously fun.

You can keep it from going into girl only and male only forms by not attacking it when it says it's changing. Wait a turn or two and it will stay in the original form!

I wanna try playing Allen with other Xenosaga players because I wanna see what they think of my Allen. He's so beautifully fail, and I'm normally good at that NPC that is so horribly normal that he's fail compared to the heroes.

I had a method, but I can't remember it now. Then again, my magic levels were really low and I had to have someone casting magic a lot while I built up my EP and stuff. I'm still really lucky I beat it the first time through. If it had taken two hours to lose I would have cried. The only time it changed form on me was when I had it down to, like, 1000 HP left and I attacked it with a guy and it was rotating and... Dear lord I almost lost then and there.

Yeah, I do, but it's kinda a private one or I would, like, attempt to get people who know Xenosaga well to look it over so that I could get opinions on my Allen.

I think I beat it the first time around too, but with me it was probably horrible luck as I sucked at the battle system on my first try.

Oooh, ahaha I know how that is. I am always paranoid over how well I play my characters in RPs. ;.;

I'm okay with OCs, but I've got several new canons I'm playing for a few things so I'm nervous with all of them, and since I've researched and studied Allen the least, he worries me the most.

Yeah, I get the same way. XD Even though when it comes down to it I try to make sure fun outweighs anything else cause then I just get blah.

OMG! A positive response!

I was seriously expecting a slew of OH NOEZ TEH LONG CUTSCENES ARE AWFUL!!11 But I'm glad to see that's not the case! I love watching them, sitting back with a drink and all- it's the best! This is what epic games SHOULD be made out of!

I think episode II is gearing up to be my favourite. And I really thought the second game had THE best battle system of them all. I miss it! I also love all the URTVs...and...Albedo and everything surrounding them and Mizrahi so the second episode was really their time to shine!

XDDD!! I have...this love-hate relationship with Allen. I always torture the guy and get a kick out of seeing him fail, but he's really something!

Ah, oops! I'm not in an RP, but I have two friends that got me into playing the series (after I had it on hold for so long) and we all kind of spam each other's LJs and such so I playfully refer to them as those two as they remind me a bit of each. XD

Oh exactly! XD Eventually it just gets better and better, and III probably has the most cutscenes but III was omfgjdflkgjdlkd *_*

YES! XD I had a couple of iffy problems with some of the dub changes for II, but URTV backstory and the battle system once you know how to wield it makes it so so great.

Allen's complete and utter fail is exactly what makes me adore him. >D!

I've noticed all the cutscenes in III, it's intense. XD!

Oh god I HATED KOS-MOS' voice in episode II. She sounded just HORRIBLE. D: Olivia Hack did an okay Shion, so long as she wasn't forcing herself to laugh, and MOMO's voice grew on me...I actually like chaos' new voice. And despite the graphic change and ALL that- I still thought it was a great game. None of those changes mattered as I focused on the story. :O
I really...had no trouble mastering. I got advice from one of my friends and off I went. I think my battles were even shorter in episode II! XD

Allen is more than just the resident comic relief! He makes an EXCELLENT punching bag, too. XD

I would LOVE to do Xeno-RP. But, ugh, I will never, ever join a community RP (can you blame me with all these scary secrets floating about? So negative! D: ). I don't have any Xeno-fans I speak with over AIM, either. XD
I'd love to watch a community one, though! :3

A-AHAHA YES KOS-MOS kind of made me. Cry on the inside and now I'm curious if her voice in the animation will be better or not (since the American release for the anime coming out has an entirely different cast :O) MOMO and chaos got so much better especially in Episode III. *_*

See I was always too lazy to waste time stocking and setting up ether swords and stuff. Which wound up in wasting MORE time since battles were hell without them. XD;; I FAILED.

And oh man I can't blame you, I wish there wasn't so much negativity. Or... I know a lot of people judge, but I'm all for the judge silently thing. I have noooo idea if there are any Xeno-specific roleplay communities, but I see a number of different characters in a lot of crossover ones and I play in a crossover one myself. XD An active Xeno-specific one would be fun to watch or be in.

I'm actually hugely familiar with the dub cast they chose for the anime. I think it might very well be in good hands (and the guy they got for Ziggy was pre-casted, he sounds nearly like him!). The ADR director is a fan of the games and went ahead and even began playing them in order to properly cast the anime. So...it seems like they are trying and that's about as good as we can hope.
I'm still favourable towards her episode I voice, but I do like her new one. My only qualm was that she sounded like she had marbles in her mouth for a couple lines or so, but still...cute voice. It wasn't as drastic as KOS-MOS.
As for chaos...I get the feeling his more serious voice suits him better. I admit...I only just started Xenosaga III. I'm a huge n00b.

Yeah, I'm a bit...shy enough as it is, a bit timid, and reading such secrets when I was already a bit hesitant to try and join really sealed the deal for me. :x I stick to AIM RPs and quite like those as it is not so...crowded. Aww. :( That's too bad, I know how it is being timid cause I am over a lot of things in general. But RP-wise, I tend to just... well it sounds BANDWAGONY PERHAPS but I laugh because RP's all for fun and I don't see the point getting so angry over it. AIM RPs are great, I haven't done one in forever. XD

Nah, that's not bandwagony. I'm more so just timid being in a community or whatnot and knowing everyone can read and judge what I say. I would much rather someone pull me aside and tell me I suck and how to improve then some of the awful secrets I see posted behind backs. D: I like people who are up front because I would want to improve. :3
I tried my first random AIM RP a couple months ago...which was a first for me- it's been going well! I really like the whole...pace of them, too. :D
