2. Um, I'll never understand how fandom can trump real life. At least, after you graduate high school. Grow up. There's fandom, and then there's life. I've seen way too many people on LJ who make their lives fandom and live in their parents' basement bitching about their existence.

I agree. I made a total o_O face when I read that.

Don't get me wrong, fandom is a huge part of my life, and has been for ten years.

But it's still my hobby. My life is the education degree I'm working on right now.
