you know, I sometimes wonder if he talks about it so much because he wants to defend his love for the character. Because it's obvious he ADORES Loki, but Loki is a bad guy, and he wants to make sure no one thinks he's a weirdo because of it. Idk. Either that or it's because he's an olympic champion babbler, which we already know, and Loki just gets pulled into his crazy talk sometimes.

That might be it. I guess to me Loki is so insanely popular that I don't see why he should have to defend his love for the character. He plays the character, good or not he's obviously getting something out of it, and it isn't unusual that he would have some positive and complicated feelings for the character.
