+4. Even though I have problems with the biases of people editing fandom-specific articles, I find the actual trope pages useful. I've seen enough on Encyclopedia Dramatica to avoid the forums.

Yeah, pages where entire fandomers are bashed for their bad fanfic/art bug me, even though I've agreed with the stuff I've seen. That's what deleterius is for (assuming it's around) or Why God Why.

As long as you take everything you read on tvtropes about works you don't know about with a heaping spoonful of salt, they're definitely very entertaining ;)
