Yeah, in this case it definitely wasn't. There were many open store locations in various strip malls around the town. They moved a megastore into the one supermarket-sized location that was less than half a mile from two other smaller stores.

Especially on rainy fall nights, I find myself missing the old store, and wishing I could go there and browse their fantasy section, maybe buy yet another Dragonlance book... I bought practically all of them there as a teenager, hahah.
