Re: This is how I feel every time Tom talks about how 'wounded' Loki is

I think it makes sense, in some ways, if the actor who plays Loki is on his 'side' as it were. It probably helps to get into character to play him if you sympathize. Not always, but I remember Kevin Bacon talking about Sebastian Shaw's side of the story in the XMFC special features, and it seems similar. Hiddleston does a lot more of it, and obviously loves the character he plays, but it feels similar to me.

Yeah, I actually remember hearing some kind of acting special talking about how most actors who make a habit of playing villains or nutjobs are usually nicer and more laid-back than average, because they're so nice naturally they don't feel uncomfortable with acting like horrible people or indulging in the darker aspects of their personality, if that's their method, because it doesn't hit home for them, so they have an easy time of it.

See, as I mentioned in another comment, I think it's perfectly normal that he sympathizes with the character, and even that he's on his 'side'. I just think he can do that without making it sound like he's excusing Loki’s actions because of his emotional drama. An anon mentioned they didn't think that was Hiddles' intention, and that's possible too. Still, the amount of comments like this that he's made makes me wary.
