When I worked at a camp this past summer, we had a menu board that had a square with 'SAVE' at the top of it. Usually, we'd write 'SAVE YOUR SPOON!' or whatever, in case we had snacks after lunch or whatever.

So this one little kid comes up to me while I'm writing on the board at dinner and goes "HEY HEY HEY, CAN I WRITE SOMETHING ON THE SAVE SQUARE?" I hand him the marker and he writes "FERRIS!!!!" under the word 'SAVE.'

It was rad as hell.

That kid is AWESOME. I always want to do nerdy fandom in-jokes like that but I never have the guts to.

That kid was cool.

(we also wrote "SAVE THE WHALES" on there at one point and tried our best to draw whales and failed miserably)
