Cold, snowy and we have been covered in fog the last two days. I have said it before, and I will say it again, I hate winter!

Amen, winter sucks! It's all cold and wet, and ice and snow are a pain in the butt. Fog too, but I find that in ~~Los Angeles~~ all seasons. :P

Fog isnt that normal in my town, and i can barely see 100 meters...

Don't forget storms, which cuts the power, which means I'm in total darkness for a day or two, or almost breaking my neck every time I walk down my hill to get to the buss, because of ice and stupid snow all the fucking time! Why can't it only snow on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve and just stay away the rest of the winter...

(I got a lot of hate towards winter, and off course I live in a country where we get "real" winters every damn year.)

I hate winter, hate the climate where I live, always get snow and freezing weather, and colder-than-comfortable is the norm more than half the year

And I have always said I wish it would just snow in December, for the holidays, and then fuck off after New Year's Day

Most people in my real life agrees with me though, except the skiers, and they are crazy people and their vote does not count.

Nope, I'm from 'Murica. And as beautiful as Scandanavia is (from what I've seen/heard) and as much as I'd love to visit, I think I would hate living there because winter would be even worse than it is here (about six hours' drive south of Canada).

I love skiing! It is one of the only good things about snow. Haven't been in a few years though.

It is beautiful, but cold. Oh I'm six hours south of my home county, which one would think would make it warmer, but nope, it's colder because I'm not close to the coast anymore...

Really? I've skied (is that the right form of skiing?) since I was like five, and I hate it... My father loves to just take us to a mountain top, then deciding it isn't good enough, so we gotta get on top of the next top! Which for all intents and purposes is exactly the same as the one we where on two hours before, just higher up.

I think "skied" is the right term (it didn't underline it in red lol)

That's too bad that you had to do it when you don't like it! I like exhilarating things like skiing, rafting, rock climbing, roller coasters, etc. and I don't get to do them all that often.

Sucks that it's still cold even farther south. =/ I'm inland as well so maybe that contributes to it. It can get really hot in the summer (which I don't mind as much, but a lot of people do) and pretty darn cold in the winter.

I keep forgetting to specify skinning when I write in English, because we have different words for cross country skiing and downhill skiing, it's the cross country one I hate. I'm quite fond of downhill skiing I also used to snowboard, but I suck.

Anyway, on to the reply. I'm Norwegian, the saying that we are born with skis on or legs are kinda true, I had no choice. We also do class trips on skis and so on. I'm terrified of heights, so you would never get me to climb rocks or have fun in a roller coaster.

Probably. Here at least it is because I'm closed in with mountains and so on, so the snow is dry and cold. We do get up to 30'C in summer. I actually grew up swimming in the ocean. I'm one of those people who hate the weather no matter what it is, but especially when it is too warm or too cold...

Oh, I don't like cross-country skiing either. And I'm not really afraid of heights, so those things don't bother me as much, but I can see why that would be a problem! Does it ever get in the way when skiing?

I'm like...basically a reptile. I crave heat and loathe cold. I don't mind hot summers at all, and usually when I am comfortable everyone around me is too hot. ;-;

That's the default skiing type up here in the cold north. Nah, I can go downhill skiing without being scared, I'm more afraid when I don't have my feet on the ground so to speak.
