...Am I right in thinking this phrase came from a show?

Because for some reason, this phrase just kills me inside. If I hear or read it, I spend the next fifteen minutes unable to think about anything but defenseless children getting hurt. It just really -- instantly puts me into a bad mind space.

And yet I see people throw it around like it's so funny. And I just -- I don't see any problem with people laughing at something that for me is something of a minor trigger, but it just really messes with me.

So I don't know what I'm asking. Maybe I'm asking why it's funny? But maybe I'm not, because it's something I can't make laughaboutable, given my reaction. (Again, I am NOT calling people who find it funny callous, bad, or evil.)

SO I guess I'll just stick to what did it come from? Did it come from some kind of quip on a show, such that people who use it aren't even thinking of the context I am at all? Or is it really-o truly-o (god, I hope not) stemming from the idea of mocking kids who try to defend themselves by crying out for help?

I've often wondered where this phrase comes from...the fact that it's Family Guy makes so much sense.

...Ugh. You know what, I've always just used this phrase without actually thinking about it, and now I am, and... I don't think I'll be using it again.

(Now I just need to work out why I find 'u ok' upsetting. Like, I genuinely cringe and feel a tinge of worry when I see Tumblr tags like 'hey [character] u ok'. I do NOT know why.)

Well, the context is not sexual, though. Security thought Chris was stealing hams under his shirt so they searched him.

I'm not on tumblr and haven't seen that one before but the first thing it reminded me of was someone poking someone and not realizing they're dead. Which is pretty creepy. And probably shouldn't be my first thought.

I don't think it's mocking kids who try to defend themselves by calling for help; I'm guessing that when people "throw it around," it's probably self-mockery spoken by adults realizing that they don't get to call for an adult when they feel out of their depth--because they're now adults themselves who are supposed to solve their own grown-up problems.

I'm pretty sure it's not mocking kids, so much as people poking fun of themselves when they're doing something either very stupid, or very irresponsible. So...I guess the best place to put it would be self-deprecating humor and meme.
