Indeed. She laughed at the idea of falling for the Doctor and then I fell in love with her as a Companion for ever.
Also, Amy ... molested the Doctor. I call it rape but people debate that accusation despite him repeatedly saying "no" and her trying to tear his clothes off. I wouldn't say that's "breaking the mold" of Companion-with-a-crush-on-the-Doctor at all.

I really wish writers would get over the "it's funny when a woman hits on/molests/assaults (sexually or otherwise)" bullshit they keep writing. Cuz no, it's really not.
