2. Oh man. I had a similar feeling of apathy towards Avatar myself, too. And then I watched it. Admittedly I didn't think the first season was amazing or anything but it was good enough to keep me interested. Then I watched the second season and honestly, I feel it's probably even better than the vast majority of anime I've seen in the past year.

4, 5, 7, 9. Oh man. More power to all of you because ahaha wow (even if I dropped Who Wants to Be a Superhero this year after Mitzvah got kicked off because aside from maybe Parthenon, nobody's really compelling/hilarious enough to keep my interest). #7, which one did you meet, out of curiosity?
