2. List of things I once called stupid but now love: Yu-Gi-Oh!, Hellboy, Spider-Man, i.ROBOT, the movie Cars, SGT FROG, Digimon... and it goes on. D: It can be a bit humiliating to tell your friends, but I think you should. It's much more fun to dork out about fandoms they share than to keep it inside just because you're embarrassed for coming to love it late. Besides, if they're good friends they'll forgive you. It happens. D: (In my case, regretably more often than it should.)
ALSO: Although I do think the fandom is a little overblown, I still adore Avatar and encourage you to give it a chance come seaosn 3. :D
10. Who CARES if Cartoon Network was your gateway to anime? After all, we're in AMERICA. Most american anime fans you meet will say that their gateway anime was something dorky like Sailor Moon or Poke'mon. There's nothing wrong with that! The first anime I watched was Poke'mon, but the show that got me interested in looking for more was Yu-Gi-Oh!. That's possibly the dorkiest of the dork anime shows. D: It doesn't matter where you start; even if your first anime was HAMTARO, that doesn't make you any LESS of an anime fan. Don't listen to anyone who says so, they're stupid. 'Aight? D:
