Seconded. Sterek is the only ship that I've ever actually hated, and a large part of that is because you can't go anywhere in the Teen Wolf fandom and not see Sterek. If the fans didn't make literally everything about Sterek, push other characters aside so Derek and Stiles can start boning, treat it like it would be a totally healthy and balanced relationship, get the essence of both characters completely wrong and lump it in with actual canon couples like Scott/Allison, I wouldn't have nearly as many problems with it as I do. I still wouldn't like it, but I don't think I'd hate it as ardently.

Haha, agreed, although I'm not quite there with hating the ship yet. I saw some people earlier complaining about domestic violence!Sterek and the first thought that came to my mind was "What, someone finally wrote a more realistic take on the ship?"

Well see that is something I would complain about, because while Derek can be kind of a jag, I think given his own past issues with relationships (Kate) he'd be much more likely to avoid them altogether than to be abusive in one. Regardless of what fic writers seem to think, he hasn't actually been that physical with Stiles, especially since S2.
