Agreed. Also, I especially don't understand the asexuality one--like, I get headcanoning gay/straight/bi based on your shipping preferences, but why that one? So you can write more complex gen or something?

Asexuals have a persecution complex - they like to think they need more representation in media.

Maybe it's because they actually do need more representation? A lot of people still don't even know what asexuality is.

As it relates to the secret, Loki probably wouldn't stand as the best form of representation, but to each their own.

This, the uh...less than a handful that show up are either a. Never actually stated to be that way, or B. Having something severely wrong with them, generally some form of mental disorder [think Sheldon Cooper's social skills level of wrong]. Usually it's some combination of both. Saying 'X group needs more representation =/= OMG, WE'RE THE MOST OPPRESSED GROUP EVAR!'

Though I agree - Loki wouldn't be the best choice, but whatever floats your boat OP.

Agreed. It might be out there, but I've yet to see a character who is asexual without it being treated as some quirk, or a given of being on the autism spectrum.

Or being played for laughs as the ace is put into uncomfortable situations where someone wants to be sexual because ha ha. ha.
