I've actually tried using "I just can't get a date!" as a reason I'm single and people always refuse to accept that. Clearly I'm not trying hard enough or being too picky or whatever. It must be really nice to be so appealing that you're constantly beating suitors off with a stick! I never understand why people ask why someone is single because there seems to be no answer that satisfies. Maybe it's some kind of performance art.
