This is kind of like that thread a while back about "which pairings turn you on just by the idea of them?", but with heartwarmingness instead of hotness. And with any kind of relationship, not just romantic pairings.

The Bruce/Tony friendship in The Avengers. I mean, I do ship them otherwise kinda, but just them being buddies came out of nowhere but was so nice and had an ultimately great payoff. I'm going to be sad if it doesn't at least get a passing mention in the new Iron Man movie.

(Where was the "which pairings turn you on just by the idea of them?" thread? I'd love to see what people came up with there).

This and a bag of blueberries. If I hadn't already resigned to ship Science Boyfriends in hell, I'd still be able to see that they have an amazing potential for friendship.

I'm also hoping for a mention of Bruce in Iron Man 3. Just as long as it's not the "You experience things and then they're over." line.

Older couples, for the most part. I love the idea that people can stay together for a long period of time and still be in love, or, in the case that they haven't been together forever, that people can find love past the age when they are considered 'desirable.' I don't know. It just gets to me.

So much this! Arthur and Molly Weasley spring to mind in the middle age category, but most couples that have been together (real life or fiction) just make me go d'awwwwwww

Bruce/Thor in the Avengers. I know it doesn't really make any sense as a ship but they're kind of my go-to for fluffy thoughts at the moment.

Also, Jess/Becker and Danny/Jenny from Primeval, and Gwaine/Percival from Merlin.

Doctor/TARDIS. Even years before I ever saw "The Doctor's Wife," it was always my favorite to top all other favorites in that show.

Tony Stark and The Hulk. 938457835375 layers of adorb and perfection.

Han Solo and Chewbacca. I will never get over them in a million years

Data and Everyone in Star Trek TNG, but especially Data and Troi. The concept is just...so beautiful.

Sisko and Jadzia Dax. Top favorite friendship in the entirety of Star Trek, perhaps even all science fiction.

Jed and Leo in The West Wing. Indescribable.

Eleven's relationship with Amy and Rory. I just...I can't with him and them and all three of them. And oh, my vivid memories of sobbing like a PMSing bridesmaid when the Ponds ran off to have their honeymoon with the Doctor in the TARDIS in the series 5 finale.

(Course, season six screwed with them a lot, but then the ending of The Doctor, The Widow, and the Wardrobe happened. And The Power Of Three, where they were utter perfection and totally just had one last jaunt before saying goodbye.

*ahem*

I SAID they said goodbye in The Power of Three. Do you hear? The Doctor may have had a paranoid nightmare about New York City afterwards, but THAT'S ALL THAT HAPPENED.)

I love DS9 for the friendships portrayed. Jadzia and Sisko, O'Brien and Bashir, Bashir and Garak, Kira and Jadzia... just, it was freaking awesome.

Gojyo and Hakkai from Saiyuki. The scene in the Burial sequence where Gojyo comes home late and he's so blown away that Hakkai has left dinner for him on the table--that evidence of care, that he's had so little of--it just makes me bawww.

OMG, a Gojyo and Hakkai mention. This makes me so damn happy! I agree, that's one of my favorite moments between them. I know there are tons of others but I need to read the series again to refresh my memory... (And see if I'm behind...I'm not sure if the series was ever resumed.)

There are plenty for me, but the ultimate one is a canon friendship...

James and Sirius in HP. Best friends from the second they met, attached at the hip fo years after (so much so that all the teachers commented on it), and when James died Sirius was "unhinged", as JKR put it. Probably the strongest friendship in the whole series.

It's not as a romantic couple, but Peter and Neal's friendship in White Collar. Or Neal in general....or Peter/El's marriage. There's a lot of d'awwww for me in that show.

Snarky relationships between sisters with a lot of love and secretly doing nice things for each other but disavowing knowledge of such deeds.

My little sister is the best possible sister for me and I get teary watching any sisters love each other but especially when it reminds me of us.

Ed and Al from FMA are made of D'awwww.

Having just reread a bunch of the Vorkosigan books, pretty much all of the Vorkosigan family's relationships. Especially how they all treat Mark. And also Gregor taking the time to help Nikki.

On the romance side, I really love the "childhood friends" type. And for non-romance, I love sibling interaction.

Someone mentioned above, but the Eleventh Doctor, Amy, and Rory. They're just... his Ponds. Oh, Ponds <3

Link and Navi in Ocarina of Time. I can tl;dr extensively on how many feels these two give me.

Link and Zelda in Skyward Sword. Whether it's romantic love or platonic love or familial love or whatever, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that they love each other in some form.

Frodo and Sam. FRODO AND SAM. I shipped them when I was younger, I don't any more, but they still never fail to turn me into a puddle of feels. Just... those two <3 (You know that paragraph when they're in Ithilien, and Frodo's sleeping and Sam's just watching him and thinking? dfkjhs.)
