Did something change with Tumblr in the last couple of days?

I just to be able to browse all posts with a certain tag (i.e. tumblr.com/tagged/whatever) in a nice orderly list, top to bottom, where more would appear automatically as I scrolled. But now it's all just a bunch of random boxes, side-by-side all messily, with a small snippet of the post/picture showing. It doesn't seem to be updating with new posts, and I can't even click the boxes to view the full posts.

What happened? I don't have an actual Tumblr account, but if I were to get one would this be something that'd be fixed? Perhaps they did it as an incentive to get people to register? I dunno, but it really sucks.

If it's not too much trouble, would it be possible for you to log out and see if you get the boxes when viewing a tag like I described? Thanks in advance, and no worries if you aren't able to!

It really is crappy; I can't use Tumblr at all anymore. I just wish I knew if getting an account would fix the situation -- I'd register, even if I wouldn't ever do anything with the account.

Honestly that sounds like what happens if you click "archive".

Something is strange here, especially if you've double checked that that's not it.

I don't think I've clicked anything saying "archive"...? I just type in whatever tag it is I wanna look at (usually just a character or pairing), and it's always worked fine in the past -- but now it's just cluttered boxes.

I don't have an account either but it looks normal to me. Not sure why you're having trouble but I hope that it's not a new design because it sounds awful.

Trust me, I've been very annoyed! If you click the boxes, maybe one in ten times it'll open the actual post -- the other nine times nothing at all happens. And it doesn't really seem like it's updating either; the boxes on the tag I'm most interested in are the same as they were yesterday (and I'm positive there's been new stuff added).

I'll get around to making an account tomorrow. I just really, really hope that doing so will fix this.

Where are you accessing it from? It could be a browser (or mobile view) issue.

I'm using IE. (Yes, I know, I know, but it's all I have installed on this computer. And it did work fine up until a couple of days ago.)

(da) That's strange... I tried signing out and using Tumblr on both IE and Chrome, and the tags look normal for me... :/ that must be really frustrating, though, and I hope you get it solved!

What the hell... That is so strange! I really don't understand what happened; I know for a fact that I haven't changed or installed anything to cause this, but if no one else is experiencing the problem it makes no sense.

Looks fine to me when I browse tags.

It's malware. I can't remember the name of it but I had the same issue a couple months ago after I got rid of the malware everything looked normal. If your antivirus isn't picking up on it, get ad-aware and run it.

Another alternative:

Spybot: Search & Destroy.

My dad tells me it has even picked up on malware that all other programs miss.
