Maybe that Mark Watches thing? It's supposed to be wanky.

My first thought was Fanficrants, but I'm pretty sure that at least one of the mods on there gets some kind of sexual satisfaction from banning people, and ratting people out is the first avenue of defense for most members, so...yeah.

My first thought was norsekink but I don't spend enough time there to know if it's truly as horrible as some people say it is. Certainly what feels like 98% of the fic is stuff I don't like or care about, but that's just personal taste. As for wank and banning, I have no idea.

I frequent there and the mods really aren't ban-happy... most people just dislike it because of all the Loki.

TV Tropes? The 'problematic users' and 'they can only solve problems by banning' phrases seemed to be indicators.

This was my guess too.

Also, the "the mods just didn't know how to handle a growing problem" is that website to a T.

From what I hear, it started as a totally harmless and fun place, but the last I saw of it the admin and mods were going full-on 1984.
