The OP didn't give any details about their life. You can't actually know what options they do or don't have. Also, T.H. had a lot of advantages, so saying it's all about choices and that the OP should chose something else is pretty stupid.

I mean, acting like someones is an asshole for quoting trite and useless motivational quotes is silly, but that doesn't mean that their life isn't limited by their situation.

No. We don't know any details or what options they have.

But I can guarantee you there is someone out there who has less, started from further behind, is operating under far more than their weight and still did far more and better in their life.

No one has said any of this is easy. It may be easy for some than others, but it's not like life is a race.

im about as down on my luck as a person who still lives in a semi-permanent residence can be, so i'm not coming from a privileged pov here. and i never meant to imply that it was easy. but the op of the secret pretty much said she was stuck in a place in life she clearly doesnt want to be, and i'm only saying shes not stuck. even if it means working your ass off to get out of it, theres always a way out - even if it means making additional sacrifices along the way, which a lot of us do have to do.

It's important to encourage people to try because they might be able to get out, but some people never do - and that not necessarily their fault.
