Kinda shipping them like burning after this week's episode!!

I never have any problem with slashing a canonically straight character or shipping a canonically gay one, because the real world is very often not as black and white or simplistic as that, and sexuality is a fluid notion.

I'm probably going to get flamed in 3, 2, 1 for saying that though, and it could be because I am personally bisexual, but it bothers me a lot when characters are always EITHER gay or straight and never bisexual. If a canonically straight character sleeps with a member of the same sex or has a relationship with a member of the same sex, then HEY PRESTO WE'RE SLASHING THEM AND THEY'RE GAY, and when a gay character sleeps with a member of the opposite sex WE'RE SHIPPING AND WE'VE 'CURED' THE GAY'.

As opposed to them simply being organic human beings who sometimes love other people regardless of gender or sexual orientation.

But then I always forget that we bisexuals rarely exist.

I understand very well what you're saying, but I really don't think it would be a good idea to turn Lana into a bisexual. People already don't believe that lesbians can actually not feel attracted to men, and although of course people can sometimes love other people regardless of gender and sexual orientation (I myself am a very good example of that, and I truly believe that's a big possibility in life), I wish they didn't just turned characters into gay, straight or bisexual in the middle of the story. I wish there were more bisexual characters. More completely gay ones. More transexual or any gender outside the binary, more pansexual, more asexual. But not turning one who already stated clearly how much they know what they like, and one who expressed disgust at the opposite gender.

(Not completely related: can you please explain to me why you shipped them so much after the last episode? I haven't seen the last two yet, and you can spoil me about that if you want, but I really prefer not to watch it if there is any chance of those two happening in the series :(. Not for shipping reasons, though. Her plot is making me sick physically with all the gay conversion thing, and if she actually has sex with a man I think I prefer a trigger warning).

If it's going to happen it'll be because he rapes her.

He is Bloody Face. He has kidnapped her. He is calling her "Mommy" and being really creepy. She is going along with it in the hopes that he doesn't brutally murder her. And I get the feeling that he's going to rape her before this plot arc is resolved.

Thank you!! I was waiting for someone to say this! Can we stop discussing gay vs. straight and instead discuss how fucked up shipping the two of them is regardless of orientation? He is holding her against her will and anything she does is to stay alive. Not much consent involved there......

I didn't really phrase my original comment well - I really don't want Lana to be turned bisexual, more that I wish screen writing was more open in general to a more fluidic portrayal of sexuality.
