Saying someone's operating under victim mentality is pretty much the exact opposite of making accusations of victim blaming. AYRT was pretty much saying people with the OP's mindset make themselves out to be the victim in situations that are either no one's fault, or are directly caused by their own actions or inactions, rather than taking responsibility for their lives.
