Nothing indicates he is going to attack someone who 'messes with the girl'. If anything, he looks like he's menacing HER. He also doesn't seem to have glowing eyes, just white ones. And the Big Daddies are never represented with eyes, they are represented with holes in their helmets that glow. It doesn't explain the weird unraveling effect. And there's no iconic elements to the Big Daddy--no drill, no diver's helmet.

Vanellope looks nothing like a Little Sister, or even Big Sister.

Clearly someone has never played Bioshock.
