OH MY GOD, are you me? XD I'm a student nurse, and I even have my own copy of the BNF...but that's all I can think about as well. ._. So you're not alone, anon.

I can't stop laughing at the image of someone shouting "Bring the BNF over!" and then someone else opens a cupboard and takes out a person who is writing/drawing furiously, who then solves all the problems in the hospital through the power of their OTP.

Oh, well. Now I'm laughing too.

*g* For me, BNF will always before anything else mean Bibliothèque nationale de France.

You and me both!

High five!

Yay! *high fives*

Yup!
aka my home these days. (Just kidding. The BSB as well.)

One semester I took both a course in Linear Algebra and history course on post-WWII Europe, so IMT could be either Invertible Matrix Theorem or International Military Tribunal.

I've had this problem too. I always have to stop myself from laughing whenever I see a BNF :)

BNF secret! Yay!
Sadly, much as I am immersed in fandom nowadays, I haven't quite made the switch the other way. So when I'm online and someone talks about a BNF, all I see is the book. That is way more weird. 'I wish I was a BNF, bla bla' hehehe.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-24 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh my gosh yes. I worked on a website that uses parts of the BNF and I always thought of that whenever I saw the acronym! xD
Glad I wasn't alone haha!

As a computer science student, for me it's context-free grammars in Backus-Naur Form that I trip over. A BNF grammar always makes me think of some special set of elite grammatical quirks used exclusively by BNFs.

The first time I saw BNF referred to online I had a moment where I thought everyone else in the discussion were pharmacists too!
